Discover the truth behind the legends as you take a guided tour of Cherokee history before and after the forced relocation.

• Cherokee Heritage Center and Museum – View the Trail of Tears exhibit; the Ancient Village showing everyday Cherokee life, prior to contact with Europeans; and the Adam’s Corner Rural Village demonstrating the look and feel of small post-removal communities
• Murrell Home – Visit the only antebellum plantation home left in Oklahoma
• Tahlequah, Oklahoma – While in the Cherokee capital, tour the National Capitol Building, the Supreme Court Building and the Cherokee National Prison; all locations are listed on the National Register of Historic Places
• Northeastern State University’s Seminary Hall – Once known as the Cherokee Female Seminary, the first institution of higher learning for women west of the Mississippi River, Seminary Hall is now the main campus building at NSU, a comprehensive regional university and the fourth-largest public four-year institution of higher learning in Oklahoma
